Requirements
Registration: Registrations for all events must be post marked on or before the deadline. This year the registration deadline is May 18, 2009. No on-site registrations will be accepted. No Wisconsin residency is required.
T-Shirts: Participants registered BEFORE the deadline will receive a Wisconsin Senior Games T-Shirt if requested on the registration form. No discount if T-Shirt not requested. Opening Dinner participants will not be awarded T-Shirts.
Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 50 years of age on December 31st 2009.
Check In: Participants are asked to check in at each event site one-half hour before the event begins.
Event Specific Requirements
Basketball (3 on 3): Each team must wear shirts of identical color. Gym shoes are required. Team registration is required.
Bowling: Be sure to enter your bowling average on the registration form.
Golf: If you desire specific tee time or play with a prearranged foursome, call John Walker at [60018] 283343 - 536179849 before June 5th.
Pickleball: EXCEPTION: NO AGE BRACKETS FOR THIS EVENT. There are singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events. We have reserved time at the Sun Prairie Athletic Club on Wednesday June 10th, 6:00 PM. Please come one half hour early. Paddles, nets, and balls are provided.
Slow Pitch Softball: This is a team sport for men played under MSCR rules. Individuals can register and will be assigned to a team or combined to form a team if sufficient numbers permit. A team registration form is required (see team registration form). No metal spikes allowed. Game balls will be furnished. Teams must furnish all other equipment.
Table Tennis: Bring your own paddles if you have them. Parking is available in the city ramp next to the Madison Senior Center.
Tennis: Participants in doubles & mixed doubles events must have partners and name them the on registration form.
Volleyball: This is a team sport for men or women. Individuals may register and will be assigned to a team or combined to form a team if sufficient numbers permit. A team registration form is required (see team registration form). National Senior Rules apply. Teams must provide practice balls.
Please note: Wisconsin Senior Games reserves the right to combine age and gender brackets, or to cancel events due to limited regulations.
Rules
Participation Divisions: There will be separate men's and women's competition in the following events: Basketball (3 on 3), Basketball Skills, Bowling, Free Throw, Golf, Horseshoes, Pool, Tennis, Table Tennis, Track & Field, and Volleyball.
Age Categories: The events can have either 5-year or 10-year age categories. Age categories start at the age of 50.
Awards: The top three participants in competitive events in each age group will receive awards following the event. If fewer than three participants are entered in a category, age categories maybe combined. There are no awards for non-competitive events.
Inclement Weather: Wisconsin Senior Games reserves the right to cancel events due to inclement weather. In case of bad weather, events will not be rescheduled and refunds will not be provided.
